1. Baptist Health South Florida. With nearly 92 percent of its employees reporting it is a great place to work, Fortune has named Baptist Health South Florida as a top place to work for 16 consecutive years. On its list, it ranks 25th. The company offers employees a $10,000 adoption benefit, 24 holidays and vacation days and a 401(k) matching program.
2. Southern Ohio Medical Center. Ranking 29th on Fortune’s list, Southern Ohio Medical Center utilizes a promote-from-within policy and has a bonus pay program in addition to tuition reimbursement. Ninety-five percent of employees report Southern Ohio Medical Center offers employees great rewards.
3. St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The health system offers employees a free on-campus gym and tuition reimbursement and ranks 35th on Fortune’s list. With St. Jude working to find cures for pediatric cancer and other diseases, 99 percent of its employees report feeling proud of what they do.
4. Scripps Health. Coming in at 42 on Fortune’s list, 92 percent of Scripps employees report their work is not just a job, but has a significant amount of meaning. One talent reporter said, “We look for exceptional talent and provide multiple opportunities for the cream to rise to the top—with culture assessments and patient care simulations being part of the application process to give the brightest the chance to shine.”
5. Texas Health Resources. Fortune ranked Texas Health Resources as 46th on its list. The health system offers employees low medical premiums tied to salary and tuition reimbursement, making it no surprise that 96 percent of employees feel a sense of pride in their work.
