$45M Surgery and Oncology Center Planned for Santa Monica

Construction is expected to begin in May for a new $45 million surgery and oncology center to complement services at Santa Monica (Calif.)-UCLA Medical Center and Orthopaedic Hospital, according to a report in the Santa Monica Mirror.

The center will be three stories and 45,000 square-feet. Officials from Arnon Development Group, which is building the center, say that it is needed to meet the demands of an aging population, according to the report.

The center’s design will include sustainable and “green” technologies.
