4 ways to improve medication management compliance

Four key details Dr. Schiller shared:

1. Tackle survey aspects that can easily go overlooked, such as removing expired medications, stacking items too high in storage rooms and hanging outdated posters.

2. Hold practice meetings to ensure all staff are on the same page when preparing for the medication management session of a survey.

3. Have medication storage data readily available for the surveyor.

4.Ensure medications have been put away properly by checking areas of the facility that aren’t frequently visited.
