35 US hospitals now designated Ebola treatment centers

Thirty-five hospitals in 12 states and Washington, D.C., have been designated as Ebola treatment centers by state health officials, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The designated treatment centers have capabilities, training and resources to provide care to a person with Ebola with minimal risk to healthcare workers. Each hospital has been assessed on-site by a CDC Rapid Ebola Preparedness team.
