Ronald L. Wisor, Jr., is a partner in the law firm of Hogan & Hartson, based in its Washington, D.C., office. He has served as the Washington regulatory counsel to FASA/ASC Association since 1996. Mr. Wisor counsels healthcare providers, suppliers and manufacturers on regulatory, compliance, and reimbursement matters, and participates in the defense of criminal and civil healthcare fraud investigations. He also routinely advises health industry trade associations on regulatory and healthcare policy matters. His current clients include orthopedic implant manufacturer Biomet, which he advised on the development of revised compliance policies in response to last year’s deferred prosecution agreements with all of the leading implant manufacturers.

Mr. Wisor has significant experience in handling federal anti-kickback and Stark physician self-referral law issues and in Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement for healthcare providers and suppliers. In addition, he conducts internal investigations of healthcare companies under government scrutiny and in regulatory due diligence reviews for major merger, acquisition, and financing transactions in the health and life sciences industries.

Eric Zimmerman is a partner in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery, based in its Washington, D.C., office. A member of the firm’s health law department and government strategies practice group, he currently serves on the board of the American Health Lawyers Association and previously served as counsel for the American Association of Ambulatory Surgery Centers.

Mr. Zimmerman is a recognized Medicare law and policy authority who helps clients navigate federal legislative and regulatory processes related to Medicare coverage, reimbursement and compliance. He primarily counsels and represents ASCs, hospitals and health systems, clinical laboratories, pharmaceutical and device manufacturers and suppliers and medical trade associations and professional societies. He currently represents Surgical Care Affiliates, the Society of Ambulatory Urological Surgeons and the American Gastroenterological Association.

Mr. Zimmerman represents clients before the U.S. Congress, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services; advances legislative and regulatory changes achieving Medicare coverage and improving reimbursement; forms advocacy coalitions to influence Medicare legislation and regulations.
