The recipients reduced and eliminated central line-associated bloodstream infections and ventilator-associated pneumonia for at least 25 months and have shared their evidence-based initiatives to help improve clinical practice, according to the release. CCSC and HHS also gave 14 healthcare organizations honorable mention for their efforts toward eliminating HAIs.
