Joyce (Deno) Thomas is senior vice president of operations for Regent Surgical Health, an ambulatory surgery center management and development company based in Westchester, Ill. In this capacity, Ms. Thomas oversees quality improvement efforts and partners with facilities to effectively manage daily operations.

Before joining Regent, she served as the executive director of Loveland (Colo.) Surgery Center and worked for HealthSouth as a regional director of quality improvement and as an administrator.

Earlier this year, Regent entered into a 10-year agreement between Hermitage Medical Clinic, one of Ireland’s premier privately owned hospitals, Accelitech, the leading developer of Stereotactic Radiosurgery (CyberKnife) Programs in the U.S., and Ireland’s leading neurosurgeons and radiation oncologists.

“We are fortunate to have Hermitage Medical Clinic as our partner in this venture,” Ms. Thomas said. “Since opening in 2007, HMC has established itself as a leader in providing a higher standard of care to the Irish community. It is a tremendous facility with an exceptional staff; we are simply building upon a foundation of clinical excellence.”

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
