Sen. Coats, who is co-sponsoring a bill to repeal the 2.3 percent sales tax on devices, said the tax could bite into the state’s 20,000 jobs at 300 device companies.
However, Sen. Coats and many other Republicans are not supporting President Obama’s new jobs proposal, partly because it would raise taxes.
