Dr. Kristofic was convicted of submitting fraudulent claims to Medicare and other insurers for services never performed. He received more than $1 million in payment on the fraudulent claims, according to the release.
Mr. Kristofic also paid more than $3.3 million in restitution to the government to cover the cost of the fraudulent claims as well as the government’s investigation.
