Michael Weaver is vice president of acquisitions ambulatory network with Vanguard Health Systems, which owns and operates 28 acute-care and specialty hospitals and complementary facilities in several major metro areas. In this role, Mr. Weaver is responsible for overseeing acquisitions and alignment initiatives for ambulatory services. He was appointed to this role in March.
Prior to joining Vanguard, Mr. Weaver served as vice president of acquisitions with Symbion, which oversees a national network of ambulatory surgery centers and surgical hospitals. Mr. Weaver also previously served as director of business development at Sheridan Healthcorp and assistant vice president of development at Medicus Medical Group.
A leader in the ambulatory surgery industry, Mr. Weaver also speaks at national events. Next month, he will join a panel of other ASC industry leaders at the 19th Annual Ambulatory Surgery Centers Conference in Chicago to discuss joint ventures, hospital outpatient departments and co-management arrangements.
