Tasks that frustrate supply chain staff the most

A quarter of supply chain managers say supply chain tasks stress them out, according to healthcare services and products company Cardinal Health's 2019 hospital supply chain survey.

Over 300 supply chain decision-makers, including surgeons, nurses and physicians weighed in on what they find important in a supply chain distributor, as well as the challenges they face in their roles.

Three survey details:

1. Sixty-seven percent of respondents observed clinical staff frustration caused by supply chain issues, such as missing supplies, manual tasks and wasting supplies.

2. Eighty-five percent of respondents said working with a distributor that makes supply recommendations that improve clinical care is important.

3. Eighty-eight percent of respondents said they look to their supply chain distributor to help their organization's supply chain operate seamlessly.
