Here’s what you should know.
1. Karl Storz will provide video laryngoscopy products and other technology services to Premier members.
2. The scopes will be used to treat patients in emergency departments and prehospital settings.
3. Premier will make the following products available:
- C-Mac video laryngoscope blades
- C-Mac S single-use video laryngoscope
- C-Mac monitor
- C-Mac S imager
4. The C-Mac pocket monitor is also available for the prehospital setting.

Karl Storz Endoscopy-America Director of Sales and Marketing, Airway Management, Anesthesiology and Emergency Medicine Michael Lyman said, “Direct laryngoscopy continues to be the current standard of care. There is now ample evidence, however, suggesting that use of video laryngoscopy can promote enhanced outcomes. The ability to properly visualize the vocal cords during laryngoscopy is one of the most vital factors in ensuring successful tracheal intubation.”
