2. Volunteer members of the EHR Association Opioid Crisis Task Force created the guide, focusing it on how clinical practice guidelines can be operationalized through EHRs.

3. The guide includes a number of proposals for implementing each of the CDC’s 12 opioid prescribing recommendations.

4. Leigh Burchell, chair of the EHR Association Opioid Crisis Task Force, said in a release that the content published by the CDC was not enough, and opioid prescribing information needs to be presented to providers as they make care decisions.
