Medline, which operates 42 distribution centers in North America, recently announced it will open a 1.2-million-square-foot distribution center in Mebane, N.C., next year, creating 600 jobs in the area. Medline has created more than 5,200 positions since 2014.
Earlier this month, Medline teamed up with HOTB Software Solutions to develop Surgical Center Toolbox, a tool to simplify the accreditation process for ASCs.
The software simplifies metric reporting for the four major accrediting bodies by digitizing the process. Centers that want to earn accreditation can now send loggable data to the cloud, where it will be compiled in central databases and document repositories.
