Medigate launched a medical device security platform, marketed as the "first and only solution to secure medical devices that are connected to electronic medical records, enterprise networks and servers and the internet."

1. The cloud-based platform secures data and attempts to defend against cyber attacks targeting network-connected devices.
2. Medigate built the platform to provide three specific features: visibility into network-connected devices, detection of potential threats and automated prevention of possible attacks.
3. Medigate said the features are healthcare facing, differentiating it from other possible solutions.
Medigate CEO Jonathan Langer said, "We’ve built a security platform to tightly protect this patient-provider data so that both parties can rely on the accuracy of critical treatment plans and confidentiality of their personal and private information."
