Holy Name Medical Center taps CareCloud for 35 ambulatory practices — 3 key notes

Teaneck, N.J.-based Holy Name Medical Center selected CareCloud to serve as its electronic healthcare record and practice management vendor for 35 ambulatory centers.

Here's what you should know:

1. Holy Name hired a team of computer scientists and engineers to develop a proprietary EHR system for its inpatient services, and selected CareCloud for its ambulatory practices.

2. CareCloud is supporting the health system's efforts to meet data portability requirements. The company is also helping Holy Name identify any potential gaps in care or service.

3. Holy Name Medical Center President and CEO Michael Maron said in a release, "An important way we deliver on our commitment to provide high-quality, affordable care is by providing our clinicians and staff the technology that supports a patient-centered care model. CareCloud not only exceeded the rigorous requirements we have for privacy, security, functionality and ease of use, they also offer an expertise in the specific needs of ambulatory care practices that complements our internal capabilities."
