Google, Flex partner on cloud-based medical device analytics platform — 4 insights

Flex designed a platform for storing and analyzing medical device information on Google Cloud, according to Medical Plastics News. Here are four insights.

1. Flex designed BrightInsight, a platform on Google Cloud that can control connected medical devices and assist with drug dosing, decision support and trend analysis. It can also help create personalized patient plans and provide AI-driven insights.

2. BrightInsight enables companies to transfer files within the platform and frees medical technology customers from needing to manage a separate platform.

3. The data aggregation and analysis platform supports CE-marked and FDA-regulated class 1, 2 and 3 medical devices.

4. "With a partner like Flex, we will enable our customers to develop innovative solutions and leverage machine learning-based analytics that can turn new data sets from wearables, medical devices, therapies and apps into actionable information for patients and providers," said Gregory Moore, Google Cloud's vice president of healthcare.
