Aprima Medical Software was acquired by eMDs, an EHR solutions company.
Five insights:
1. Aprima Medical Software provides electronic health record and practice management population health and revenue cycle management solutions for medical practices.
2. The physician-founded eMDs has a portfolio of EHR products, practice management software, revenue cycle management solutions and credentialing services.
3. With the acquisition, eMDs now serves more than 63,000 providers in more than 26,000 ambulatory practices and hospitals worldwide.
4. The combined company will be led by eMDs' CEO Derek Pickell. Aprima's CEO Michael Nissenbaum will serve in an advisory role until the integration is finalized.
5. Aprima Medical Software was ranked No. 1 for the Small Practice Ambulatory EMR/PM Category in the 2019 Best in KLAS: Software & Services Report.
