Digital prescribing program Xealth gets $3M funding boost

Xealth, a digital prescribing program, secured an additional $3 million in funding from Cleveland Clinic, Atrium Health and the MemorialCare Innovation Fund, among others.

The Xealth program is embedded in an organization's EHR and integrates into an organization's patient portal. The platform allows clinicians to prescribe and monitor patients and powers more than 30 digital health applications.

"The move to value-based care necessitates deeper coordination between providers and patients," Brant Heise, managing director of MemorialCare Innovation Fund said via a news release. "In addition to encouraging collaboration, Xealth tracks results and engagement from digital health programs, making it easier for healthcare organizations to report on outcomes."

Xealth has raised $14 million in total and was launched at Renton, Wash.-based Providence St. Joseph Health in 2017. It's used in the Froedtert and the Medical College of Wisconsin, Duke Health and UPMC health networks.
