5 more hand sanitizers may be toxic, FDA says

The FDA is warning against using five more hand sanitizers after they tested positive for menthol, according to a CNN report.

The agency advised against using nine hand sanitizers that contained the toxic chemical in June, and recently added the following five sanitizers:

1. Grupo Insoma’s Hand Sanitizer Gel Unscented 70% Alcohol
2. Transliquid Technologies’ Mystic Shield Protection Hand Sanitizer
3. Soluciones Cosmeticas’ Bersih Hand Sanitizer Gel Fragrance Free
4. Soluciones Cosmeticas Antiseptic Alcohol 70% Topical Solution Hand Sanitizer
5. Tropicosmeticos’ Britz Hand Sanitizer Ethynl Alcohol 70%
