3 ASCs adding surgical robots this year

Here are three ASCs that have added robots to their surgical repertoire:

1. Physicians at the Tustin, Calif.-based miVIP Orange County Multispecialty Surgery Center completed its 1,000th robotic surgery with the da Vinci Xi Surgical System this month.

2. Fayetteville-based Arkansas Oral & Facial Surgery Center is one of the world’s first medical facilities to adopt a dental robot called Yomi. Yomi is the only FDA-approved robot for dental surgery. It provides operative guidance and assistance in reaching hard-to-access areas. It takes about 15 minutes to install an implant using Yomi, with up to an hour of preparation.

3. After its surgeons performed 127 same-day joint replacement procedures in 2018, Scottsdale, Ariz.-based North Valley Surgery Center introduced the NAVIO orthopedic surgical system.
