Arizona Internist Settles Medicare Fraud Allegations, Will Pay $92K

A Yuma, Ariz., internist has agreed to pay the federal government $92,000 to settle allegations that he violated the False Claims Act by submitting fraudulent claims to the federal Medicare program, according to a KPHO news report.

Ray Silao, MD, allegedly submitted false claims to Medicare for tests he performed on patients who did not meet the Medicare coverage requirements, according to the report.
