Highest rate of acquisition:
Family practice: 54 percent

 

Lowest rate of acquisition:
Allergy and immunology, cardiothoracic surgery, infectious disease, maternal and fetal medicine, nephrology, occupational medicine, pathology, pediatrics, radiation oncology, vascular surgery: 2 percent each

 

Orthopedic acquisition: 6 percent

 

2013 anticipated acquisitions by specialty

 

Highest rate of acquisition:
Family practice: 31 percent

 

Lowest rate of acquisition:
Colon and rectal surgery, critical care medicine, dermatology, hematology, maternal and fetal medicine, nephrology, occupational medicine, podiatry, radiology, sleep medicine and sports medicine: 1 percent each

 

Orthopedic surgery acquisition: 10 percent
