The Military Order of the Purple Heart Service Foundation in Annandale, Va., has awarded the UW Medicine Division of Pain Medicine in Seattle a five-year, $500,000 grant, according to a News-Medical report.
The grant is for the development of technologies to assist veterans with treatment for post-traumatic stress, traumatic bran injury and acute and chronic pain. It will also support provider education and outcomes-based research. These will help healthcare providers reduce the risk of veteran suicides.
