Dr. Javid Baksh joins St. Luke's Hospital in Ohio: 5 things to know

Javid Baksh, MD, is joining St. Luke's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, to begin offering pain management treatments.

Five things to know:

1. Dr. Baksh practiced in North Carolina for several years before leaving to join St. Luke's.

2. Dr. Baksh treating the most complex pain cases in a "comprehensive, integrative and holistic approach, offering alternative medicine therapies and performing minimally-invasive procedures to be his career passions."

3. Dr. Baksh received his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, in Newark. He completed an internship with Sisters of Charity in Buffalo, N.Y. He was a resident at SUNY Buffalo, in New York, and had a pain management fellowship at the University of Cincinnati, in Ohio.

4. Dr. Baksh has been published and was a distinguished presenter at the North American Neuromodulation since 2013.

5. In addition to his pain management treatment, he is going to institute a drug abuse and addiction program for residents of the area.
