1. Hoag’s spine and neurosurgery program is led by Burak Ozgur, MD. Other spine surgeons include Robert Louis, MD, and William Dobkin, MD.

2. Along with providing outpatient surgery to patients, Hoag also provides patient with robotic surgery options.

3. In 2016, spine surgeons at Hoag performed 456 surgeries, including 143 cervical spine fusions and 198 lumbar spine fusions.

4. Between 2015 and 2016, the outpatient centers volume of minimally invasive spine surgery increased by 21 percent.

5. Based on Hoag’s research, patients who underwent minimally invasive surgery experienced a zero percent infection rate and zero percent complication rate at 12 months postoperative.
