Virginia couple donates $6M to Cleveland Clinic Florida for orthopedic surgery improvements — 4 insights

Amy and David Krohn have committed to donating $6 million to Weston-based Cleveland Clinic Florida, the Sun Sentinel reports.

1. The couple initially donated $2 million to establish a new chairmanship at the hospital, the Amy and David Krohn Family Distinguished Chair in Orthopaedic Outcomes.

2. They are paying for the chairmanship in increments, contributing $200,000 annually until the $2 million is collected.

3. Cleveland Clinic Florida will receive the remaining $4 million after they both die.

4. The couple is supporting the clinic because of the quality of care they both received over the years.
