Oregon institute first in state to earn The Joint Commission’s advanced gold seal for joint replacement

McMinnville, Ore.-based Willamette Valley Medical Center’s Joint Replacement Institute of Oregon program has earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval for advanced certification for total hip and total knee replacements.

To receive the certification, the institute had to comply with national care standards, use evidence-based guidelines and have an organized approach to quality and performance improvement.

The institute was founded in 2010, and is the first facility in Oregon to receive the certification.
