Napoleon, Ohio-based Henry County Hospital launched an orthopedic service line Dec. 2.
Three insights:
1. Henry County Hospital is offering same-day orthopedic and sports injury care at a new clinic.
2. The clinic is staffed by orthopedic physician assistants, a certified registered nurse practitioner and an on-call orthopedic surgeon.
3. The team will diagnose and treat most orthopedic injuries without requiring appointments.
"This is a service that patients were previously needing to leave the county, or they were visiting the emergency room and then scheduling a follow-up appointment with an orthopedic surgeon," Henry County Hospital CEO Kim Bordenkircher said in a press release. "Now, they can receive specialized, same-day care close to home."
