New Jersey ASC adds Mako robotic system for orthopedics

The Elite Surgical Center in Wayne, N.J., is now offering knee replacement surgeries using the Mako robotic surgery system.

Patients can undergo total and partial knee replacements and total hip replacements using the Mako system. Surgeons at the ASC can use the robot to create surgical plans and make adjustments in the operating room during the procedure.

"With Mako, we can provide each patient with a personalized surgical experience based on their specific diagnosis and anatomy,” said Vincent McInerney, MD, of the North Jersey Orthopedic Institute and the Elite Surgical Center.

"We are proud to be one of the first ASC’s in northern New Jersey to offer this highly advanced robotic technology in our area," said Dennis Simmons, CEO of Elite Surgical Center. "The addition of Mako to our orthopaedic service line further demonstrates our commitment to provide the community with outstanding healthcare."
