Northwest Orthopaedic Specialists' Matthew Wallace, MD, performed The Orthopaedic Surgery Center's 100th outpatient joint replacement procedure. Both organizations are located in Spokane, Wash.
Here's what you should know:
1. Dr. Wallace performed a total knee replacement Nov. 7.
2. The Orthopaedic Surgery Center performed its first joint replacement in November 2016.
3. Surgeons at the center have performed 60 total hip replacements, 38 total knee replacements and two total shoulder replacements. Dr. Wallace's surgery was the center's 38th TKR.
4. Dr. Wallace said, "We are proud to offer our patients these state-of-the-art procedures, and it’s been an honor to perform this landmark surgery as part of the continued success of our outpatient joint replacement program."
