Carol Frey, MD, of West Coast Center for Orthopedic Surgery in Los Angeles, performed surgery on Olympic hopeful speed skater Xander Mark, according to a report on The Morning Call.
Mr. Mark injured the peroneuas longus muscle and tendon, according to the report, and has undergone surgery and rehabilitation for the injury. He is now training with the national team. Dr. Frey is the director of orthopedic foot and ankle surgery at West Coast Center for Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine. The practice's surgical facilities include Beach District Surgery Center and Spaulding Surgery Center in Redondo Beach and Beverly Hills, Calif.
