Andrews Institute Ambulatory Surgery Center (Gulf Breeze, Fla.).
The Andrews Institute Ambulatory Surgery Center was founded as a joint venture between physicians and Baptist Health Care. It is affiliated with Andrews Institute for Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine, founded by James Andrews, MD, who is renowned for his work with professional athletes and serves as team physician for the Tampa Bay Rays. The facility has eight operating rooms with digital equipment, high definition camera and video systems for visualization during surgery. Physicians at this multispecialty surgery center focus on orthopedic surgery, sports medicine and pain management, among other procedures.

Atlanta Sports Medicine Surgery Center.
Atlanta Sports Medicine & Orthopaedic Center includes former team physicians for the Atlanta Thrashers and Atlanta Falcons professional athletic teams. Scott Gillogly, MD, previously served as medical director of the Women’s United Soccer Association and is currently the medical director of the Cartilage Repair Centers of America. The surgeons provide knee, shoulder, elbow, hip and ankle injuries for amateur athletes and other patients. The practice of Atlanta Sports Medicine was founded in 1991 and includes digital imaging and instant access to MRI images and athletic trainers.

DISC Sports & Spine Center (Marina del Rey, Calif.).
DISC Sports & Spine Center was established in 2006 and serves as the official medical services provider for the U.S. Olympic Team. The physicians also care for the Red Bull North America athletes and Los Angeles Kings. The surgeons have a special interest in knee, hip, shoulder and spine care. The center also includes chiropractic, MedX spine rehabilitation, acupuncture, traditional eastern medicine and nutrition services. Led by Robert S. Bray, Jr., MD, the physicians pioneer minimally invasive spine surgery and arthroscopic techniques for outpatient procedures. The 7,200-square-foot surgery center includes three operating rooms and a second surgery center was recently opened in Newport Beach, Calif.

Fremont (Calif.) Surgery Center.
Team physicians for the Oakland Raiders and San Jose Sharks direct the sports medicine program at Fremont Surgery Center and treat several elite athletes and local high school athletic programs. The surgery center also includes gastroenterology, neurosurgery, plastic surgery and urology. Sports medicine procedures include arthroscopic surgery and mid distal ligament and cartilage transplant procedures. The surgery center includes seven operating rooms and four procedure suites. The center was formed in 1996 and grew into a new building in 2000, and again in 2006. It is accredited by the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities and is Medicare-certified.

Illinois Sports Medicine & Orthopedic Surgery Center (Morton Grove).
Illinois Sports Medicine & Orthopedic Surgery Center includes orthopedic surgery, otolaryngology, pain management and podiatry. The 24 physician owners have several special interests, including knee, shoulder and hand surgery. Led by CEO David Raab, MD, the group of physicians includes team physicians for several local athletic teams. The surgery center includes private individual pre-op areas, operating rooms and two-phase recovery area. It is accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care and Medicare-certified. In addition to surgical services, the ASC has radiological services and an on-site laboratory certified by the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments.

Kerlan-Jobe Surgery Center (Los Angeles).
This center, affiliated with Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic, is used by 19 physicians, five of whom are in spine. With four ORs located directly below the practice, the ASC specializes in sports medicine, foot and ankle procedures. The clinical physicians perform in minimally invasive interventions for sports medicine, lower and upper extremities and spinal conditions. Robert K. Kerlan, MD, founded the practice in 1950 and became the Dodgers' team physician when they moved to Los Angeles in 1958. Frank Jobe, MD, is credited with developing and performing the first UCL repair, or Tommy John surgery. The clinic established a fellowship program in 1973, and it is now one of the largest in the country, with more than a dozen fellows.

OAK Surgical Institute (Bradley, Ill.).
OAK Surgical Institute is an orthopedic-driven surgery center with two operating suites and nine pre- and post-surgical recovery bays. It was founded as a partnership between physicians, local healthcare providers and patients. Surgeons affiliated with the center focus on joint replacement, sports medicine and pain management. The center has achieved accreditation from Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care and includes a team physician for the Chicago Bears.

Oregon Outpatient Surgery Center (Tigard, Ore).
Surgeons at the Oregon Outpatient Surgery Center are team physicians for the Portland Timbers. The physicians have a special interest in ACL surgery, rotator cuff repair, hip surgery and extremities care. The practice of Sports Medicine Oregon includes physical therapy, MRI and imaging services. The surgeons also provide orthopedic care for local athletes and Nike Sports Medicine Clinic. The procedures performed include joint replacement surgery, minimally invasive arthroscopic surgery, cartilage restoration procedures and non-operative treatment.

Orthopedic Associates Ambulatory Surgery Center (Oklahoma City).
The Orthopedic Associates Ambulatory Surgery Center was built in 1986 and surgeons provide a full range of orthopedic and pain management procedures at the center. The practice of Orthopedic Associates includes physicians with a special interest in sports medicine, arthroscopic surgery, extremity care and spine surgery. The ASC is Medicare-certified. The team of surgeons includes the medical director of the Lazy-E Arena and supports the Oklahoma City University Stars as well as a former president of the Oklahoma State Orthopaedic Society. Additional services at the practice include fracture care, pediatrics and rehabilitation medicine.

Sports Medicine Day Surgery Center (Renton, Wash.)
. Physicians at the Sports Medicine Day Surgery Center have a special interest in arthroscopic surgery, ankles knees, shoulders and sports injuries. Lawrence W. Snow, MD, is a former team physician for the U.S. Ski Team and has provided care to other local sports teams. He is also a member of the Arthroscopy Association of North America, American College of Sports Medicine and American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
