LaserCare Eye Center, an ophthalmology practice in Texas, is closing its location in Irving, Texas, after 26 years.

The practice is planning to open a new location in Frisco, Texas, on Sept. 1. The new office will provide services including LASIK, SMILE, refractive lens exchange, cataract surgery, refractive cataract surgery and ophthalmic care, according to an Aug. 14 news release from LaserCare Eye Center.

LaserCare Eye Center also has locations in Plano and Southlake, Texas.

“Closing our Irving office is bittersweet,” Sidney Gicheru, MD, founder of LaserCare Eye Center said in the release. “We are excited about our future in Frisco, but we could not make this transition without first recognizing the patients and community who have supported us in Irving for the past 26 years. We sincerely thank them and look forward to continuing to care for our Irving patients at our other locations.”
