Wilmington, Del.-based Simon Eye has secured an investment from private equity firm Brightstar Capital Partners.
Founded in 1987, Simon Eye is an integrated vision care platform with a network of ophthalmology and optometry clinics across the Mid-Atlantic, according to a May 7 news release from Brightstar Capital Partners.
Members of Simon Eye’s management team will retain meaningful ownership stakes in the company. Edward DiMartino, CEO of Simon Eye, will continue leading the platform.
Simon Eye supports 11 clinic locations across Delaware, Maryland and Pennsylvania, according its website.

The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
