Ophthalmologists Drs. Buono, Speer-Buono Join North Shore Eye Care in New York

Holbrook, N.Y.-based North Shore Eye Care added two ophthalmologists to its team of physicians and staff.

Lawrence Buono, MD, and Christine Speer-Buono, MD, will treat patients at the Southold location on Long Island. Dr. Buono and Dr. Speer-Buono are married.

Dr. Buono is a fellowship-trained neuro ophthalmologist from the Wills Eye Institute in Philadelphia. He has experience in treating complex ocular and neuro-ophthalmic locations. He serves on the staff at Southampton Hospital, Eastern Long Island Hospital and Peconic Bay Medical Center.

Dr. Speer Buono is a former assistant clinical professor of ophthalmology at the Duke Eye Center in Durham, N.C. Her clinical interests are in cataract surgery, laser surgery for glaucoma, dry eye, herpetic eye disease and other anterior segment disorders.
