Ophthalmologist Dr. Stephen P. Ginsberg Dead at 71

Ophthalmologist Stephen P. Ginsberg, MD, has died, according to a Washington Post report.

Dr. Ginsberg was 71. He died June 19 in Chevy Chase, Md.

 

Dr. Ginsberg founded the Kensington Eye Center in Rockville, Md. He was an eye surgeon and chairman of the eye department at Washington Adventist Hospital in Takoma Park, Md.

 

He received his MD from University of California (San Francisco) Medical School, was an ophthalmology resident at the University of California (San Francisco) and was the Heed Ophthalmic Corneal Fellow at the University of Florida, Gainesville , according to Dr. Ginsberg’s curriculum vitae (pdf).
