ModMed is donating the use of its ophthalmology-focused EHR system to three community colleges in Illinois.
Participating colleges include Elgin Community College, Glen Ellyn-based College of Dupage and River Grove-based Triton Community College, according to an April 16 press release.
ModMed’s “sandbox” EHR environment will give ophthalmology students access to training in a real-world setting.
The initiative will support more than 50 students annually in certified ophthalmic technician and certified ophthalmic assistant programs.
At the Becker's 23rd Annual Spine, Orthopedic and Pain Management-Driven ASC + The Future of Spine Conference, taking place June 11-13 in Chicago, spine surgeons, orthopedic leaders and ASC executives will come together to explore minimally invasive techniques, ASC growth strategies and innovations shaping the future of outpatient spine care.
