Integrated eye care platform has appointed Jay Burkett as the company’s next CEO.

Mr. Burkett has served as executive chairman of EHA’s board for the past 18 months. He has more than three decades of experience in the healthcare provider industry, according to an Oct. 6 news release from Eye Health America.

Mary Lou Parisi, EHA’s co-CEO, will transition to chief growth officer. The newly created position will allow Ms. Parisi to focus more on supporting the company’s physicians.

In addition, John Swencki, the company’s other co-CEO, will leave Eye Health America at the end of October.

Eye Health America supports more than 130 physicians across more than 60 locations, the release said.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
