The system features a femtosecond laser that reduces the need for ultrasound technology to soften cataracts for removal, decreasing the likelihood and degree of inflammation.

Dr. Melki’s ophthalmology group has five U.S. outpatient clinics and others in London and his native Beirut, Lebanon. He is an associate surgeon at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary and on the clinical faculty at Harvard Medical School.
