Mr. Wynn, who has the inherited eye disease retinitis pigmentosa, will pay out his donation over five years. The university has proposed naming the facility the Stephen A. Wynn Institute for Vision Research.
Ed Stone, PhD, will lead the institute. Dr. Stone is a longtime friend of Mr. Wynn.
