30,000 patients affected by Vermont eye practice breach

Rutland-based Central Vermont Eye Care suffered a data breach from a hacking incident, JDSupra reported April 8.

The ophthalmology group sent out data breach notices to affected parties on April 6, the report said. As many as 30,000 people may have had sensitive information compromised.

The data breach is being investigated by law firm Console & Associates, the report said.
