NFL Legend Mike Ditka to Present on Leadership & Management at Annual June Surgery Center Conference in Chicago

Chicago — Mike Ditka, legendary NFL player and coach, will discuss "Leadership and Management in 2011" as a keynote at the upcoming 9th Annual Orthopedic, Spine and Pain Management-Driven Ambulatory Surgery Center Conference: Improving Profitability and Business and Legal Issues held June 9-11, 2011, in Chicago.

 

This exclusive conference will be held at the Westin Hotel on North Michigan Avenue and is presented by ASC Communications, publisher of Becker's ASC Review and Becker's Orthopedic & Spine Review, and the Ambulatory Surgery Center Association, the national association for surgery centers. It brings together surgeons, physician leaders, administrators and ASC business and clinical leaders to discuss how to improve orthopedic, spine and pain-focused ASCs and their bottom line and how to manage challenging clinical, business and financial issues.

Coach Ditka has realized success as an All-American at the University of Pittsburgh, NFL Rookie of the Year (1961), All-Pro (1961-66) and Super Bowl champion as a player with Dallas (1972), Super Bowl champion as an assistant coach with Dallas (1977) and Super Bowl champion as head coach of the Chicago Bears (1986). During his 11 years with the Bears, Coach Ditka's teams dominated the NFC Central with 52 regular season victories from 1985-1988. Coach Ditka coached the Bears to six NFC Central titles, three appearances in the NFC title game and a Super Bowl victory. Coach Ditka is the only Chicago Bear coach to lead his club to five straight post-season appearances.
