NextServices Exhibits EHR Through Google Glass

NextServices announced it has unveiled the prototype for enki Glassware at FutureMed in San Diego.

NextServices offers mobile EHR, revenue cycle management/medical billing, consulting and analytics to ambulatory surgery centers and specialist groups. The new Glassware technology extends the functionality available on the iPad and web to Google Glass, giving physicians access to patient records at the point of care without having to look away from their patients.

The technology is designed to seamlessly synchronize with its web and iPad counterparts. Physicians can also swipe through their schedule, select a patient and go through the patient's medical record.

"As medicine transforms into a data science, it's important to equip physicians and patients with relevant information at the point of care," said Praveen Suthrum, President and Co-Founder of NextServices. "Today's electronic health records are static — merely storage systems of gross-level medical information. In the future, data such as that from a patient's DNA microbiome or even a patient's physical activity will make health records dynamic with the potential of detecting problems even before they occur."
