Connecticut Hospital Opens $10.3 Million Surgery Center

Greenwich (Conn.) Hospital has opened a $10.3 million surgery center, according to the Greenwich Time.

The Holly Hill Surgery Center will offer a wide range of ambulatory procedures, including eye, gynecological, plastic and orthopedic surgeries, according to a Greenwich Hospital press release.

The ASC includes three operating rooms, 10 post-anesthesia beds and a full-service sterile processing facility.

"About 70 percent of our surgeries are ambulatory," said Frank Corvino, the hospital’s president and CEO, according to the press release. The opening of the surgery center “helps us meet the growing need for ambulatory surgical services, plus it frees up the operating room schedules in the hospital for our inpatients,” he said.

Greenwich Hospital is a 174-bed community hospital serving lower Fairfield County Connecticut and Westchester County New York. It is a major academic affiliate of Yale University School of Medicine and a member of the Yale New Haven Health System.
