Washington, D.C., Medical Group to Convert Part of Acquired Building Into ASC

The GW Medical Faculty Associates, based in Washington. D.C., will convert part of a 120,000-square-foot building it has purchased into a surgery center, according to a report by the Washington Business Journal.

The practice purchased the nine-story building for $49.5 million. It will become the practice's new home when the current occupant moves out between 2013 and 2014.

The group has about 550 physicians. In addition to the ASC, the building will house medical offices and offer services such as diagnostic radiology, according to the report.
