Three things to know:
1. UIC, which plans to open a pediatric dentistry ASC in its College of Dentistry in January 2020, was one of nine organizations that received funding from the Delta Dental of Illinois Foundation.
2. The ASC will feature two general anesthesia suites and four procedure rooms, allowing the department to provide dental care under general anesthesia to an additional 1,000 pediatric patients annually.
3. UIC will use the grant to purchase general anesthesia and dental supplies for the center.
