Charlottesville-based University of Virginia Health System has opened an outpatient transplant clinic, CBS 19 News reported April 8.
The new center is located in Wytheville, Va., in partnership with Wythe County Community Hospital. The clinic joins UVA Health’s Southwest Virginia transplant clinics in Roanoke, Martinsville and Lynchburg.
Patients in the region will have increased access to transplant care and be connected to physicians specializing in liver, lung or kidney transplants.
