Pittsburgh-based UPMC began construction on a specialty care complex in Butler, Pa., that is expected to open in early 2027.
Plans for the location include specialty physician services, expanded diagnostic imaging and surgical offerings through strategic partnerships, according to an Aug. 31 press release from the health system.
Physicians and care teams at the new Butler location will be primarily affiliated with UPMC Passavant in Pittsburgh.
UPMC also provides care in Butler County through UPMC Passavant-Cranberry, UPMC Passavant-McCandless, UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex, UPMC Orthopaedic Care, UPMC Hillman Cancer Center and UPMC Rehabilitation Institute, among other services.
