UC San Diego Health has opened the McGrath Outpatient Pavilion in San Diego, a $25 million, 250,000-square-foot facility designed to expand access to outpatient, surgical and cancer care, according to a July 28 press release by the system.
Located on the system’s Hillcrest medical campus, the pavilion features ambulatory surgery suites, advanced imaging and specialty services, including colorectal, neurology, urology, orthopedics and perinatal care. It also houses a multispecialty cancer clinic, breast center and radiation therapy as part of expanded space for the Moores Cancer Center.
Funded in part by a $25 million gift from the McGrath Family Foundation, the project marks the first phase of the Hillcrest campus redevelopment. Future phases will include workforce housing, green spaces and additional care facilities. The center aims to increase access for patients across central and southern San Diego County.
